Privacy Policy & Platform Compliance
Last updated: July 2026
This Privacy Policy & Platform Compliance Package describes how Pen Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 73 653 757 601) trading as FastQ Technologies (“FastQ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, holds, and discloses personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy applies to all end-user customers (“Customers”) and third-party food and beverage providers (“Merchants”) utilising our web application at fastq.com.au (the “App”).
1. Privacy Policy
1.1 Information we collect
Because FastQ is built as a lightweight, frictionless queue-skipping solution, we intentionally minimise data collection at the MVP stage to protect user privacy:
- Customers: At checkout, we collect your name (used by the Merchant to identify your order at pickup), your mobile phone number (so the Merchant can call you about the order while it is active), and an optional email address (only if you request a digital tax invoice). We delete the phone number from the order record when the order is closed (picked up or cancelled/refunded by the Merchant). If you opt into future loyalty benefits or create a user profile, we will collect a username, password, and profile preferences.
- Merchants: We collect corporate details including legal entity name, trading name, ABN, contact phone numbers, email addresses, menu asset files, and financial payout data linked to your corporate Stripe account.
- Payment details: All financial transactions are processed securely via our third-party payment gateway, Stripe. FastQ does not store, see, or retain raw credit card numbers or sensitive financial data on our servers.
1.2 How we use your information
We use the collected information solely to execute our service pipeline:
- To transmit your name, mobile number (while the order is active), and order details to the designated Merchant's live dashboard so they can prepare and contact you about the order.
- To email automated tax invoices to Customers who request them.
- To email an order-ready notice when your order is ready for pickup, if you provided an email address at checkout.
- To verify, reconcile, and disburse Stripe card payouts to our on-boarded Merchants.
- To perform light, aggregated, first-party technical optimization analytics via Vercel. We strictly do not engage in behavioural ad tracking, retargeting, or sales of data to third-party data brokers.
1.3 Disclosure of information
Your information is shared only with external parties essential to providing the service:
- The specific Merchant you choose to purchase food or beverages from.
- Our underlying critical secure infrastructure providers (Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting/analytics, and cloud database pipelines).
- Law enforcement, emergency response coordinators, or regulatory bodies if required under Australian law.
1.4 Access and corrections
Under the APPs, you have the right to request access to or correction of any personal information we hold about you. Because we do not store customer profiles or tracking histories at the MVP stage, request processing is simple and can be initiated by contacting us at business@fastq.com.au.
2. Website & App Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your general browsing access to fastq.com.au and all connected subdomains.
2.1 Intellectual property
Unless specified otherwise, the structural source code, database architecture, Next.js components, user interface layout designs, animations, and the official “FastQ” or “FQ” logos are the exclusive intellectual property of Pen Technologies Pty Ltd. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, frame, scrape, or replicate any portion of the App without express written authorization.
2.2 Merchant content accountability
Our App operates as a multi-tenant marketplace platform where individual Merchants receive isolated vendor dashboards.
- Merchants possess independent control to upload item text, menu items, allergen descriptions, warning banners, and commercial photography.
- Copyright & infringement: The Merchant assumes full legal liability for the text and images uploaded onto their portal. FastQ accepts no responsibility for copyright, trademark, or intellectual property breaches originating from files uploaded by independent vendors. FastQ reserves the absolute right to instantly delete any file or deactivate any account found to violate third-party rights.
2.3 Acceptable use
You agree not to disrupt the operational availability of the App. You must not introduce malware, perform denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, flood transaction pipelines, or utilize scripts to create automated dummy accounts. Violations will result in permanent deactivation and referral to relevant law enforcement bodies.
3. Cookie Policy
FastQ utilizes a highly restricted configuration of web browser cookies to maintain app security and system performance.
3.1 What cookies we use
We use only two categories of first-party cookies:
- Essential / security cookies: These are mandatory cookies required to authenticate web traffic, protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks, and secure your session token during payment validation via Stripe.
- Session state cookies: Temporary memory flags that keep track of what items you have added to your virtual cart as you navigate between a vendor's menu items before checkout. These automatically expire when you close your browser tab.
3.2 Third-party ad tracking waiver
FastQ does not inject persistent ad-tracking cookies, third-party marketing pixels (such as the Meta Pixel), or Google Analytics cross-site behavioural tracking tools. Your festival presence and consumer browsing habits remain private to you. You may disable cookies in your device's browser settings, but doing so will prevent the app from maintaining an active shopping cart or completing your checkout safely.
4. Corporate email disclaimer
The following text should be appended to the footer of all formal corporate communications, automated invoices, and vendor onboarding correspondence originating from our domain:
